“Quack and Daisy” a Romeo and Juliet Story for Kids!

Aileen Stewart-headshotAileen Stewart, author of the Fern Valley book series, has a new picture book! Quack and Daisy is her charming story about overcoming family differences. Quack, a duckling, and Daisy, a kitten, meet in the meadow where they decide to introduce each other to their respective families. Both families discourage Quack and Daisy’s new friendship based on obvious differences.

This somewhat Romeo and Juliet story shows how diverse friendships are made through acceptance and understanding. Simple text, adorable characters, and colorful illustrations will captivate young readers. The diversity and acceptance message could be used in classrooms too!

Don’t miss this heartfelt story that families, students, and teachers will enjoy reading together.
